The La Jolla Community Center was recently recognized by County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer of District 3 with a proclamation honoring us for "outstanding leadership and service to our community," and establishing a La Jolla Community Center day on 9/19/22. The proclamation specifically states that we have a "long history of leadership, involvement and investment in La Jolla" and that we are "committed to enhancing the lives of adults and the growing senior population." It further mentions our focus on "presenting life-enhancing classes and events that encourage social connection and promote health and longevity." It also mentions that we "constantly listen to the needs and views of our members, we develop strategies that meet their needs, and that we have a 75% growth in our membership."
