HELP ISOLATED SENIORS WITH TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE THEIR LIVES
OUR VISION IS FOR A NEW COMPUTER LAB, EQUIPMENT & CURRICULUM
Campaign will run through mid-September 2021, at which time we'll announce our participating sponsors.
Dear Community Partner:
Your company can make a huge difference in the lives of seniors and their families in our community by helping them learn about technology and connect with others. Please join us as a partner in the La Jolla Community Center’s 2021 SeniorConnect campaign.
Your involvement will help us:
• provide needed technology by creating a modernized computer lab at the La Jolla Community Center
• offer multiple levels of computer instruction to help seniors gain greater access to financial, health and other online services
• provide expanded transportation services for seniors in need
Our goal is to create a computer lab and curriculum to allow seniors to learn and use technology to achieve greater independence, accessing vital information and connecting to friends and family.
We offer four levels of bank involvement from Platinum to Bronze level and a level for wealth management firm involvement, listed on page 4. Benefits for participation include: speaking opportunities, promotion and booth space at the completion of the campaign during our Fall Fundraising Event and Health Fair slated for September 2021, publicity opportunities including TV/radio spots, social media; PR; direct mail; and other promotional content we plan for our Website; as well as direct communication with our members.
For a special bank or institution, we offer the chance to become a Platinum Sponsor at the $50,000 level. This company will be honored as the company responsible for bringing our vision of a computer lab to fruition. They will receive all the benefits listed above associated with our Grand Opening and an inscribed plaque with their name will be displayed in the lab.
Our research on social isolation and discussions with our members show that seniors want to become more proficient with technology and would appreciate a modern, attractive onsite computer lab to enhance learning and social connection in the process. We believe our SeniorConnect campaign can serve as an example for other senior centers on how to bridge the technology gap witnessed in the senior population today.
Please join us with a sponsorship to our SeniorConnect campaign. We look forward to working with you on this vital issue of connecting seniors to technology!
Sincerely,
Ruth Yansick,
CEO, Board of Directors
