Painting from the Model – UninstructedDottie Stanley Live Art Demo
Come and test your figure drawing or painting skills in this uninstructed Saturday morning session painting directly from a costumed or nude model.  No matter what your level of expertise (or lack of experience) is in the art of figure drawing/painting, Dottie Stanley welcomes you to join us where other professional artists as well as beginners experience the thrill of painting directly from a live person posing for you.

No pictures or photos used- purely painting a three dimensional person!  Many of the saturdayartclassprofessionals in the group will help you with questions or even how to get started.  Our models are professional and they make it easy to paint because they are well trained in posing for artists.

This is a three-hour session, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. most Saturdays.  E-mail notices are sent at the beginning of the week to those signed up for this session.  A response is required in order to assure there is room.  No cost to you for painting; however, we do split dottie stanley artthe model’s fee-among artists there.  Charges could range from $12 to $20, depending upon the number of artists sharing the model’s fee.   Below is an example of a costumed model painted by Dottie Stanley.  Don’t let the elaborate dress scare you.  Many times we paint just the face or a portion of the figure in simple clothes.

E-mail me:  dottieaartist@gmail.com so I can put you on the e-mail list.

Private lessons are available for anyone wishing to pursue their artistic advancement.

About your Instructor, Jackie Warfield:
I was born in Oklahoma on the northern edge of the Cherokee Strip. As a very young child I looked out onto the landscape and became image1(1)consciously aware of the vast cloud covered big skies and wheat covered plains that stretched outwardly from my town, I dreamed of this space and its infinite possibilities. These dreams nurtured my imagination and I began to use them as the basis of my art. I am graduate of Visual Arts from UCSD.

I have shown my art in private collections in San Diego and Los Angeles. My work is very expressive with strong brushwork. Sebastian Capella taught me the fundamentals of color and perspective. Raul Guerrero taught me the importance of the idea behind a painting.
