Internationally-renowned classical pianist Alessio Averone will present a musical journey for the senses, highlighted by two of the most difficult pieces ever written for the piano. Join us for an evening filled with pieces inspired by Averone’s passion for music, art and discovery. Averone will be performing Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin. The intimate performance will be Italian style aperitivo.

About Piano Virtuoso, Alessio Averone: Born in Vercelli, Italy and deemed a virtuoso by piano teachers at age five, Averone gave his first solo concert at the age of 10. By 15 he was performing with the Bucharest Radio TV Orchestra in Romania. He went on to graduate top of his class from the Conservatory of Turin and receive first prize for his category in the famed G.B. Viotti International Music Competition. I the 50 years since the competition’s inception, thousands of esteemed musicians have taken part, including Luciano Pavarotti.

In recognition of his super musicality, Averone was chosen to study with Aldo Ciccolini at the Superior Academy of Music L. Perosi, where he also graduated with honors. Additionally, he has studied under Jean Micault at Viotti Academy; attended Master classes in Paris at Echole Normal De Paris and at the Hochschule with Boris Block in Essen, Germany; and was awarded a full scholarship by the University of Southern California for a Doctorla Degree under the guidance of Dr. Stewart Gordon.

Establishing himself as an electrifying soloist, Averone has collaborated with many eminent artists throughout the world. In 2001, he made his U.S. debut in San Diego with the San Diego Symphony before embarking on European tour where he stunned audiences with his passion and sensitivity. Having recently returned to Italy after 10 years of living in Southern California, he is now regular fixture in Piedmont’s classical music scene. He continues to tour throughout Europe, Canada and North, South and Central America.
