Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) 8 Week Course

Research demonstrates that MSC training is strongly associated with emotional well-being.
It is designed to teach strategies to respond with greater stress resilience and self-kindness.
In-class activities include brief talks, experiential exercises, and group discussions.

Susan Knier, OTR/L, MBA-PM, is a Licensed Clinical Occupational Therapist, Education Specialist, Project Manager and Susan KnierCertified/Trained Compassion and Mindfulness Teacher.  Susan’s mission is to influence healing via education, altruism and leadership.  She provides training, consultation, and outreach to teams, leaders, and consumers locally, as well as in India and Sub-Saharan Africa. As a life-long learner, Susan continues to develop her understanding of transformational learning and science. She is a is a trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher via the University of California San Diego Center for Mindfulness’ Professional Training Institute; Certified Compassion Cultivation Teacher via the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, Stanford University School of Medicine. And, she is also currently enrolled in a yearlong course of study at the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center.
